DESCRIPTION: “When I worked at the School of Music, University of Akron in Ohio, I became involved with helping to create a production for Ohio PBS stations. This essentially involved writing a work for soprano, tenor, baritone (also as narrator) and full orchestra… approximately a 35 minute work in four movements. I will talk about how this came into being, what motivated me to do it, the reaction to it, and how it led to a number of individual lectures I have given about it around the US, the University of Alberta – Edmonton, Canada, and the University of Paris, France. After my discussion, I will play a DVD of the entire work for all.”
