Members-Only Events
Workshop
Presentation by top local musicians on various aspects of composition and the profession. Past workshops have included writing for strings, writing for brass, and writing for wind quintet (with The City of Tomorrow).
Deep Listening Gathering
Read-through performances of Deep Listening scores for fun and to develop attuned ear strength; Deep Listening, as developed by composer Pauline Oliveros, cultivates a radical attentiveness and explores the difference between the involuntary nature of hearing and the conscious nature of listening.
Freestyle Jam
A loose gathering of members to improvise and make new music together.
